Visual is holding another public exhibition at Baskerville House, Centenary Square in central Birmingham.

The exhibition of professional contemporary art has been selected from the Visual collection by Stephen Snoddy, Director, The New Art Gallery Walsall. It will be open daily from 30 June to 12 July, 11:30am to 6:00pm.

Visual at Baskerville House is part of Art of Ideas II, a programme of activity including tours of the city’s cultural hotspots, social events celebrating Birmingham’s thriving creative industries and two high profile talks:

The Art of Collecting, 1 July, 6.00-7.30pm

A New Museum for the 21st Century, 8 July, 6.00-7.30pm

Both events take place at Baskerville House and are chaired by Tim Marlow, writer, broadcaster and Head of Exhibitions at the White Cube Gallery. The debates include contributions from a selection of the UK’s most prominent art specialists including:

Frances Morris, Head of Collections (International Art), Tate Modern
Jonathan Watkins, Director, Ikon Gallery
Matthew Slotover, Co-Publisher Frieze and Co-Director, Frieze Art Fair
Richard Wentworth, artist
