Imagining Landscape

Derby Museums and Art Gallery hold a significant quantity of paintings and drawings that fall within the thematic strand of ‘Imagining Landscape’. See through an artist’s eye how common landscapes are interpreted. Many of these paintings have been in store for many years; this exhibition will celebrate Derby’s hidden treasures. It is also a chance to see how selected regional contemporary artists have been dealing with the theme of landscape including David Ainley, Nick Lockett, Nick Hedderly, Michael Porter and Derby University graduate Paul Hirst.
